Practice General Information
About Dukinfield Medical Practice
Dukinfield Medical Practice was formed in July 2016 when Davaar Medical Centre merged with Hollies Medical Practice.
Our Mission
Our team of doctors, nurses, and staff are dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare. We care about the health and wellbeing of our community and aim to treat every patient with the same kindness and respect we would want for ourselves and our families.
Your Named GP
NHS rules require every patient to have a named GP. From March 8, 2024, your named GP at Dukinfield Medical Practice is Dr. H McBride, following the retirement of Dr. T Dowling. However, you can still see any doctor or clinician of your choice. If you have an ongoing health issue, we recommend seeing the same clinician for consistency.
Our Team
Our team includes doctors, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, physiotherapists, and mental health practitioners, all working together to provide the best care for you.
Teaching & Research
We are a training practice, so you may see medical students or trainee doctors during your visit. If you would prefer not to have a student present, just let reception know.
Publication of Earnings
It is a contractual requirement for practices to publish their mean average earnings for 2024/25.
Practices must;
• Publish details on their website by 31 March 2026.
• If asked this must also be available in paper copy or you can show the patient the
information posted on the website.
The calculation excludes certain types of income and the rules are complex and open to
interpretation.
Full time GPs are defined in the guidance as working eight sessions or more. The number of GPs
includes salaried GPs and locums who worked full or part time for 6 months or more.
The required disclosure for your practice is shown below. However, it should be noted that the
prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of
how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any
judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services
to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Dukinfield Medical Practice in the last financial year was
£73,731 for tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GPs, 6 part time GPs, and 0 locum GPs
who worked in the practice for more than six month.
