Dukinfield Medical Practice came into being in July 2016 when the Davaar Medical Centre joined up with the Hollies Medical Practice following the retirement of Dr J Procter.
“The Doctors, nurses and the whole team here at Dukinfield Medical Practice strive to deliver the highest quality health care. We are committed to looking after the health and wellbeing of the community. We aim to treat you as we would like ourselves and our family to be treated when we are unwell or have medical concerns”
Please see here.
NHS England requires us to provide every registered patient with a named GP. From 8th March 2024, all patients registered at Dukinfield Medical Practice’s named GP is Dr H McBride, this is following the retirement of Dr T Dowling. You may continue to consult with another doctor/clinician of your choice at any time. For ongoing problems we would recommend, where possible, you consult with the same Clinician.
Dukinfield Medical Practice has a multidisciplinary team including, Pharmacist, Nurses, Paramedics, First Contact Physios and Mental Health Practitioners, who could be involved with your care.
We are an approved training practice and have experienced doctors, as well as medical students attending the practice who may be present at your consultation. Should you prefer this not to be the case, simply inform reception.
It is a contractual requirement for practices to publish their mean average earnings for 2022/23. Practices must:
The calculation excludes certain types of income and the rules are complex and open to interpretation.
Full-time GPs are defined in the guidance as working eight sessions or more. The number of GPs includes salaried GPs and locums who worked full or part-time for six months or more.
The required disclosure for your practice is shown below. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Dukinfield Medical Practice in the last financial year was £42,748 before tax and National Insurance. This is for two full-time GPs and 6 part-time GPs and no locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.
